Preserving Family History Workshops

Preserving the memories and history of the Lebanese-American community is a vital matter.

For this reason, the Khayrallah Center offers FREE workshops throughout the country to teach Lebanese-American communities how to collect and preserve oral history and photographs.

Upcoming Workshops:
  • Southern Cultural Heritage Center           Vicksburg, MS – February 18th 2017
  • To schedule a workshop in your community, contact Marjorie Stevens.
Workshops include two sessions:
  • Recording Your Past: Dr. Blair Kelley will teach you how to talk about the past with your family and preserve their stories. Recording stories enables us to preserve historical narratives that enrich what we know about the past and provide information that would not otherwise be remembered.
  • Digitizing for the Future: Archivist, Caroline Muglia, will teach you the best ways to scan and save photographs and documents about your family history so they will survive to enrich the heritage of future generations.

Workshops are limited to twenty participants. For more information contact Marjorie Stevens.
