Our History
In 2010, Dr. Moise A. Khayrallah funded a pilot project to research, preserve and publicize the history of the Lebanese in North Carolina. This initiative led to the production of a PBS documentary, a museum exhibit, and establishing an archive.
Building on this foundation, Dr. Khayrallah endowed a center that would extend the same goals to the United States and beyond. Thus, the Moise A. Khayrallah Center for Lebanese Diaspora Studies was established as a research and outreach center for the production and dissemination of knowledge about Lebanese immigration to the United States and around the world.
