History Weekend a great success

Thank you all who joined us last weekend for NC State University Department of History’s annual History Weekend, where a theme is chosen and a movie and speaker are invited to speak on that theme. This year’s theme, “The Future of the Middle East: The Historical Context” brought Rashid Khalidi, Edward Said Professor of Arab Studies at Columbia University. There was also a viewing of the Lebanese filmĀ Caramel. OverĀ 130 people participated in the weekend events! Provost Warwick Arden gave opening remarks to a packed room in Withers Hall. Join us again next year!
