Cedars in the Pines: The Lebanese in North Carolina

Thank you all for your support during the premiere our full-length documentary, Cedars in the Pines: The Lebanese in North Carolina at the North Carolina Museum of History. Directed by Danica Cullinan and co-produced by Cullinan and Neal Hutcheson of the North Carolina Language and Life Project with Caroline Muglia as archivist and researcher, over 700 people throughout the state attended the two premieres. NCSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS) Director, Jeff Braden, Museum Director, Ken Howard, Dr. Moise Khayrallah, Chair, Advisory Board, Khayrallah Program and Dr. Akram Khater, Director, Khayrallah Program for Lebanese-American Studies and Executive Director, Lebanese in North Carolina Project all made opening remarks. This event was a great opportunity for community members from around the state to reunite and view a film about their history! Thank you to Matthew Portelle for taking portraits of attendees.
