165 people turnout to hear Music of the Carolinas!

This past Sunday, North Carolina Museum of History, Khayrallah Program for Lebanese-American Studies at NC State University, CHASS at NC State University, North Carolina Humanities Council, and the Piedmont Council of Traditional Music co-hosted an event featuring musical talents that highlighted Lebanese culture in North Carolina.

Lebanese musicians Naji Hilal, Christopher Saleh, and Huda Asfour made the event a considerable success and we thank them so much for their efforts! This concert coincides with the NC Museum of History’s “Cedars in the Pines” exhibit, which commemorates the history and contributions of Lebanese immigrants who have made North Carolina their home since the 1880s.

Thank you to Bearta Al-Chacar Powell for the photos and video.
